Beginning in 2001 Midwest Medical Transport has provided Basic and Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service to all medical facilities within Lincoln and surrounding communitities.  The Lincoln station employs nearly fifty trained Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians in full and part time positions who staff the station 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  The employees of Midwest Medical Transport Lincoln are dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

   

Since July 2005 the Lincoln station has been located in a state of the art facility at 3001 O Street in central Lincoln.  The facility includes drive thru bays with a capacity of six ambulances, training and meeting room, male and female locker rooms, two restrooms, and a full kitchen.  The company’s fleet mechanic is based out of the Lincoln station and a workshop area is located adjacent to the ambulance bays.  The central location of the station ensures an efficient and rapid response to all Lincoln facilities as well as nursing homes and hospitals in outlying communities. 

The staff of the Lincoln station respond to a multitude of different calls.  A majority of the calls for service originate at nursing home or assisted living facilities within Lincoln.  Midwest Medical Transport Lincoln also provides service to patients at doctor’s offices as well as response to private residences in non-emergent situations.  Outlying communities such as Seward, Crete, Syracuse, Tecumseh, and Waverly rely on the professional staff of Midwest Medical Transport Lincoln to transport patients to full service hospitals within Lincoln and Omaha.  The employees of Midwest Medical Transport Lincoln also provide standby coverage for a variety of special events such as high school football, sprint car racing, motocross events, women’s roller derby, as well as being the exclusive EMS provider for the spectators of the Lincoln Stars hockey team. 

The Lincoln operation is managed by Joe Uridil, Joe Has been a paramedic for 7 Years. Joe served in the United states Navy as a Hospital Corpsman pror to attaining his paramedic status.
