Midwest Medical Transport Company was established in Columbus as “Platte County Ambulance Co” in 1987.  The Columbus station has been and continues to be our corporate headquarters.  The station is located at 2155 33^rd Ave., a central location which ensures a quick and efficient response to both emergency and non-emergency calls.  Midwest’s calls in Columbus, as well as all other stations consist of Specialty Care Transportation, Advance Life Support and Basic Life Support.  The Columbus station houses the Dispatch Center, the Billing Center as well as three fully equipped Advanced Life Support Ambulances.  Columbus employs

The Columbus Station provides service to Columbus Community Hospital as well as to all the local facilities and surrounding area hospitals including Osceola, Genoa, Schuyler and Albion among others.

Bob Hiner serves as the Columbus area Manager and has over 10 years in EMS experience.  Also operating from the Columbus Station is the Company Operations Manager, Robyne Beck.  Robyne is a Paramedic and has been in EMS and working for Midwest since 1993.  Robyne oversees operations for all of Midwest’s stations.

Columbus is also home to the new Medical Helicopter Hangar opened in October, 2008.
